September 16: From Columbia Park we cruised the UP campus along the bluff, walked Willamette Blvd. to Edgewater Ave. that led down to the railroad and the river. Interlocking anti-erosion blocks were exposed with the low water. Heading back to the bluff we overcame an obstacle near the new baseball field construction and walked back up to civilization and java in the student union at UP.

September 23 we will meet at Esther Short Park, 610 Esther Street in Vancouver for a river-edge walk and then a swing through the Fort blocks and back to Esther Short. 9 a.m.
