July 1: I must say, this was a fun walk. Starting at PSU we cut over to Terwilliger for a view of the city and the towers on the hill. SW Condor took us down to Barbur and into the Corbett area. We saw a school that was "Failing." Then our route went down to Water Ave, and the old Greyhound bus barn. Java on the waterfront overlooking the yacht basin give us a break before ending the walk up past the Federal building and the Park Blocks. About 5.5 miles. We had good topics of discussion, including why white bread was made (even though it won't sustain life in mice and humans), and the value of doing good things in and of themselves regardless of what religions say about such actions. Of course we talked about how the country is reacting to the Robert's court decision on Obama care. And more topics. Now and then we would quote Martin Short's famous rejoinder, "I know that."
