August 7, Judy and Gary hosted Walkie Talkie in Summerfield. We  walked through Summerfield to Cook Park and then on to Tualatin. At Cook Park Judy and Gary treated us to a couple Judi's quiche pies, muffins, fruit and coffee. I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to take any photos.

On August 14, 2011, Kathi and Wayne Holmes will take us on their boat to Government Island to follow a trail there. Be at Big Eddy Marina sharply at 9:00 a.m. We will return at noon.

Big Eddy Marina is located at 19609 NE Marine Drive. There is plenty of parking in the upper parking lot for guests. Lower parking lot is for tenants only. To get through the gate scroll down to the Holmes name on key pad and enter the numbers by the name. It will access Wayne's cell phone, and he will then enter the code to open the gate for you. He only has 20 seconds to do this so no chat "just here for hike."

If the door is shut to go down the ramp, key in 2415. To leave the parking lot for your return home key in 002415.

We will be leaving from the boat house with a red roof and a red door towards the left after coming down the ramp.
