June 23 we walked about 5 miles starting and ending in Kenton. Along the way we saw the New Columbia Villa, the Portland sewage refurbishing plant, a GBH (Great Blue Heron) on an island in the Columbia Slough, which slough was looking pretty good as a place to float a small craft. We walked by some goofers and watched from afar as folks flogged their tiny cars around a s-curved track and reasonably fast speeds. This was a new route for us, but one that Ralph had been promoting for some time now. We were all pleased as punch to have Clifford join us for the duration.
